The proprietors, Philip and Richard Walsh, have both been awarded Medals of the Order of Australia for their outstanding contribution to "the community of Maroubra and to pharmacy." They are members of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. They have given a total of 16 years service as community representatives on local school councils. Richard served four years as an independent South Ward Randwick Councillor and is a life member of the South Maroubra Tenants Group. He has received a special presentation from Maroubra Lions and a Paul Harris Fellowship from the Rotary Club of Maroubra for outstanding community service. Walsh's has been a member of the Maroubra and Districts Chamber for 14 years and Richard was the President of that organisation for 10 years.
